
Cheryl Thomas is an accomplished career management professional with extensive experience assisting undergraduate and graduate level university students with the transition from university to work life as well as with adults in mid-life career transition. She excels in assisting these individuals determine the most effective career choices. Her specialty areas are skills assessment, resume and cover letter preparation, networking and interviewing techniques, and the development of personal career action plans.
Cheryl has successfully designed and managed “start up” Career Center operations in both the public sector and university settings. She is considered to be an outstanding facilitator and a dynamic, friendly and enthusiastic presenter who has conducted numerous workshops on job search strategies, resume development and successful interviewing strategies. Cheryl has a proven track record in assisting individuals make choices that provide a satisfying and productive work life.
Cheryl has a BS degree in the Social Sciences and received her M.Ed. in Counseling and Development from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA in 2004.
