CUSTOM PROGRAMS

Programs designed specifically for you and your organizations can have a far greater impact on learning over open enrollment courses. While open enrollment courses are useful, our emphasis on tailored learning experiences stems from our recognition that each organization faces unique challenges. We leverage our full resources to diagnose, design and deliver meaningful leadership development solutions that make a difference for executive audiences.  Although each custom designed program is unique, each one is crafted to ultimately strengthen the leadership skills of your executives independently and of your organization as a whole.

Initial Consultation and Relationship Development

Each customized program begins with our Director and Associate Director working with you to determine a fundamental intervention framework. Based on this initial consultation, and with your full approval, an EDP appointed Program Director will form a team comprised of faculty, staff, and EDP Fellows charged with executing the following consultative process.

Diagnosis

A thorough analysis of your learning needs is critical to the success of the subsequent phases. Diagnosis involves understanding your needs as articulated or discovered by surveys, interviews, and other methods of information collection.

For clients who seek a more in-depth analysis, EDP offers Sponsored Research and Advisory which provides a complete and systematic diagnostic analysis of your organization. It identifies your company’s strategic challenges by examining strengths and weaknesses to formulate a company specific plan of action and custom executive development program.

Design

Design creates a platform that addresses the needs and issues identified in the Diagnosis phase. The design plan is comprised of specific performance objectives, the achievement of which is the key success metric. Specific instructional strategies, content, materials, and other elements are also created here. This development includes the latest research and best-practice, an appropriate mix of instructional modes, and utilization of innovative instructional techniques and technologies.

Delivery

Program delivery is where your associates assemble to begin the developmental process. Because of the time and effort committed in the earlier stages, this experience is timely, relevant, and of an appropriate depth, and might include interactive class sessions, case studies, simulations, or action research, to name just a few of the methodologies used by our faculty. More importantly, it provides the new knowledge, skills, and attitudes the program was designed to achieve. For your convenience, our programs may take place here at GWSB, your business facility, or at an off-site location of your choosing.

Difference

Evaluation occurs in a variety of areas and at several points in time. Participants evaluate the program immediately following the delivery as well as shortly after returning to their posts. The initial evaluation provides useful feedback regarding content, instructional methods, faculty, and other elements. The subsequent evaluations provide a measure of the utility of the experience in relation to the participants current and future job roles. Together, these evaluations enable us to refine the program after each delivery.
