Timothy L. Fort is the executive director of the Institute for Corporate Responsibility, the Lindner-Gambal Professor of Business Ethics and Director of the Program on Peace Through Commerce at George Washington University’s Business School. He is also an academic advisor for the Business Roundtable Institute for Corporate Ethics and an Adjunct Faculty at the George Washington University School of Law. Dr. Fort received many awards during his career including the Award for Academic Leadership by the Beyond Grey Pinstripes report the most prominent ratings initiative for corporate responsibility and the Outstanding Junior Faculty Member of the Academy of Legal Studies in Business ("ALSB"). He has published several articles, papers and books including Business, Integrity and Peace; Peace Through Commerce Via Total Integrity Management from Cambridge University Press and Prophets, Profits, and Passion: How Corporations Can Be Instruments of Peace and Enhance Religious Harmony. He formerly served as co-Director of the Corporate Governance and Corporate Social Responsibility Area of the Davidson Institute and as co-Director of the Michigan Business School's Center for Corporate Governance and Sustainable Peace. His presentation of his research and business on sustainable peace was used by The World Bank as a video program delivered to participants of the 2003 meeting of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund.
